Get a pair of metal snips and cut them as close as you can to the edge of the die. I snip off the extra parts over a trash can. I grind my points all the way down after that with a dremmel tool but they can be expensive. You can find them at Amazon
I use my husband's metal cutter/snips. It has yellow handles - he bought it at Lowe's. I think the brand is Wiss. It's kind of big, but it works really well for me.
You can get a cheap pare of Hakko CHP-170 flush cutters on Amazon for around $4 or $5. They cut well. As Vfinger said, try to get as close to the edge as possible. If you still feel a burr on the die, I use a cheap set of needle files from Harbor Freight to file them down. You can also you a nail file or emery board. Ever sand paper can help.
I don't access this forum much so I'm not sure if this is how one sends a PM. :) I left a reply on your post about the Paper Clippings: Birthday dies. I'm definitely interested.
I am interested in the Limitless Layers 2 1/2 inch circles. I'm also looking at the rest of the list.
I wonder why that is, Sandy? Hmmm. If we did a poll, we all know who would come out at top for pestiness, Pat.
The lilac emoji with pink cheeks just edges out the purple one for cutest! (Insert pink emoji with tongue sticking out!)
Oh, please! You know exactly how incredibly wonderful and precious I am and you strive daily to be just like me! Smoochies!
Wow! I didn't realize we could message each other! Cool! I used the chat feature with Customer Service and that was awesome. Don't worry about getting back to me. I am in the middle of a blog post for the Create Along With Us. Have a great day. Are you in Australia?
i enjoy your pillow box snowman. would you share how you did this? I'd love to do it for my granddaughters.
Getting ready for the August 2017 Release! Setting up for my Facebook/Instagram LIVE Review! I have LOTS of never-seen-before projects!
Ashley, do you still have your Epson Stylus Photo R1900? Mine has given up the ghost, and I have about 4 unopened ink cartridges plus a roll of canvas (plus whatever is in the machine). I'm about to dispose of the machine and I would be glad to gift them to you if you can use them.
I have the RS1400 (not sure if there's a difference). It uses #79 ink cartridges. And canvas? You printed on that?! WOW! I'll gladly take it as mine still works and I print photos using it. I can pay for shipping, so you're not burdened. I can PayPal you! Thanks for messaging me!
Darn. Mine used 87 ink. The stuff is so expensive I was hoping you could use it. Can you use the canvas? There is a place in the back to attach a roll of canvas and it feeds differently. Your user manual should tell you if you can use it and if you can, let me know your mailing address and I'll send it along. Maybe I'll post in the forum and see if anyone else can use #87 ink.
Why do they make so many different cartridges?! I have no idea where my user manual is. I've had this printer for many years and I doubt I'll use it to print on canvas. I only use it to print photos now. Thanks again for thinking of me!
