Album: Star Ornament

This is one of the Christmas ornaments I am making for our tree this year. I stamped the damask and the text style stars from the Star Prints set in versamark on Clearly Creative Cardstock. I then heat embossed with silver filigree embossing powder, and punched out with the star punch. So not to crack the embossing, I very carefully folded the points inward on the embossed side. Then, using snail adhesive, I carefully assembled the two halves of my star (each half is made up of 6 punched stars). I threaded my beads onto silver thread, then punched two smaller stars out of Silver Shimmer Cardstock and adhered them together with my silver thread between. I placed my center star in the middle of my 3D star and then adhered the remaining points together. I love how the center star can be see through the clear cardstock! Very tricky to photograph!!
