Album: Janelle GSS March 2009 Best Use of Previous Set

Ever since I first read the sentiment ". . . friendship gives wings to the heart," I wanted to do cards using wings with hearts. I used the spiral pop-up card tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers to make a card with hearts soaring through the blue sky (theoretically, from me on the east coast of the U.S. to my friends and family on the west coast). I used vintage cream ink for the polka dots on the card front and also to soften the edges, highlight the embossing, and create very wispy "clouds" on the blue cardstock inside. All other cardstocks and inks are from Stampin' Up. The card is tied closed with vintage cream satin ribbon. (The wings are from a small angel punch found on clearance after the holidays.)
