I made a date string by cutting out numbers 7-4-1776 and placed it inside the card after stitching them together. I wanted to add stars to separate the numbers, but had already stitched the numbers, so I added them to the string by gluing 2 stars together back-to-back. I think it would be fun to do this in a birthday card as well, with the birthday date inside!
