I made this card at the request of my husband. He has gotten to know a member of a local professional hockey team relatively well and he wanted to send him a card after a recent surgery. I did my best to make it as masculine as I possibly could (I assume large guys who skate around and body slam each other into walls appreciate masculinity). The background was created by lightly drawing a lattice pattern with a pencil and stamping overtop that with Frost White (Colorbox) ink. The branch from Beyond Basic Borders was stamped in Burnt Umber ink and embellished with punched paper circles and Glossy Accents (Ranger). The branch image was mounted to Spring Moss cardstock (stamped with a sentiment from Faux Ribbon) and wrapped with Ripe Avocado Saddle Stitched ribbon. A copper brad and some twine finished that panel before it was mounted to the base with foam tape.
