I wrapped the ribbon around just the lid (it still opens and closes easily) attaching it with sticky strip adhesive - and only adhered the paper to the top of the lid where the ribbon is - so as you can see there is no adhesive showing anywhere.
I made sure the back of the Summer Sunrise satin ribbon showed when I adhered it to the tin base - it has a more "rough" look to it - perfect for a manly gift!
