This is a card I made for the Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday #210 Challenge.

I doubled the vellum to soften the pattern. I ran the vellum thru my Xyron and adhered it to another piece of vellum. I centered the vellum on a piece of dp, (temporarily tacking it down); placed the die where I wanted it (temp. tacked it down) and then die cut the whole thing. I initially wanted the green card base to show thru the spaces in the word but it was too much like the colors of the diecut word so on to plan B. I diecut the word from a dark brown and kept all the small pieces in place and placed it all in the negative cut. To keep all the pieces in place, I cut a thin strip of typing paper and ran it thru my Xyron and glued the strip to the back. "Wishes" was stamped and embossed on the vellum. The layers were attached to the card base. The diecut word was then die cut from brown two more times, glued together and topped off with the dp cut word and placed in the negative space. I added a negative punched gold piece (from my last project) which looked like a flame and put it over the "i" to look like a little candle. Lastly, I added a few gold star stickers.

Thanks for looking! Hope my card helps to inspire you to create a card.
